Common issues include a “No SD card detected” message on the screen, an inability to read print files or export logs, and an empty file list or file list errors.
Before inserting the card, check the card slot for foreign objects, dust, or bent contacts.
2. Turn on the printer and check whether the card is detected.
If the replacement card is detected, the original card is damaged and should be replaced.
If the replacement card is also not detected, there may be a problem with the printer's card slot.
Use the following specifications as a reference when purchasing a microSD card for the i8:
| Specification | Requirement |
| Capacity | [8 GB –2 TB] |
| Bus interface | UHS-I |
| File system | FAT32 |
| Speed class | Class 10 and U1 or higher |
| Brand | Choose a reputable brand, such as SanDisk, Samsung, Kingston, or Lexar, or contact customer support for a replacement. |
Note:
- Insert the new microSD card into the i8 and format it using the printer.
- When importing model files to the Micro SD card from an external device, the total size of the files imported at one time must not exceed 1 GB.
- When reading the Micro SD card on a Windows device, you may be prompted to format the TF card. This is because the card uses a dual-partition format (exFAT and ext4), and Windows does not natively support the ext4 file system. This is normal Windows behavior. Ignore the prompt and do not format the TF card.
