The SPARKX i7 comes standard with a dual-texture gold PEI print plate. It is manufactured by spraying PEI powder onto a steel sheet, allowing printed parts to retain a distinctive textured surface on the bottom layer and supporting a wide range of filaments. After long-term use or surface contamination, the print plate may experience reduced adhesion. The following sections describe the recommended cleaning methods and daily usage precautions.

Notes!
Do not use ketone-based organic solvents (such as acetone), as they may damage the PEI coating.
Make sure the detergent used does not contain oils or moisturizing agents, as these residues may remain on the print plate surface and reduce adhesion.
Scouring pad or soft brush
Dishwashing liquid or other mild detergent
Paper towels
Wet the surface of the Print Plate with water. Warm water is recommended for better cleaning results.
Apply dishwashing liquid to the print plate and scrub the entire surface using a scouring pad or brush, allowing foam to form and clean surface textures and gaps.
Rinse the print plate thoroughly with clean water to ensure no detergent residue or debris remains.
Dry the print plate surface with paper towels.
Avoid touching the print plate surface with fingers or palms to prevent fingerprints and oil contamination. Hold the plate by the sides or non-printing areas whenever possible.
The raised area at the rear of the print plate is the Fine Wiping Area. Surface coating wear may occur after long-term use and is considered normal.
After extended use, PEI print plates may experience irreversible adhesion degradation. In this case, adhesive can be applied, or the print plate can be replaced.
