The top surface refers to the filled area enclosed by the walls on all upper surfaces of the printed model, while the bottom surface refers to the filled area enclosed by the walls on all lower surfaces of the printed model. There may be more than one top/bottom surface.
The pattern of the infill lines on the top surface.
Aligned Rectilinear fill, monotonic fill and rectilinear fill all consist of parallel lines.Unlike Monotonic fill and Rectilinear fill, rectilinear fill has all the straight lines on the top surface aligned in the same direction.。
Note: When using transparent materials, if you choose Aligned Rectilinear fill for the top/bottom surfaces, you should also select Aligned Rectilinear fill for sparse fill and internal solid fill to achieve a good visual effect.
The number of solid layers in the top shell, including the top surface, internal solid fill, and internal bridge.
The total thickness of the solid layers in the top shell. If the thickness calculated from the number of top shell layers is less than this value, the number of top shell layers will be automatically increased during slicing.
For example: If the layer height is fixed at 0.2 mm, and the set number of top shell layers is 3 with a top shell thickness of 0.8 mm, the thickness calculated from the number of top shell layers would be 3 × 0.2 mm = 0.6 mm, which is less than the set top shell thickness. In this case, the actual number of top shell layers used during slicing would be 4 layers. This ensures that the top shell is not too thin when the layer height is small. A value of 0 disables this setting, meaning the thickness of the top shell is entirely determined by the number of top shell layers.
The pattern of the infill lines on the bottom surface. The pattern types can be referenced from those used for the top surface.
The number of solid layers in the bottom shell, including the bottom surface and internal solid fill. This can be referenced from the number of top shell layers.
The total thickness of the solid layers in the bottom shell. This can be referenced from the top shell thickness.
