This release focuses on print quality and multi-color efficiency improvements, addressing common FDM issues such as under-extrusion after overhangs and poor support surface quality. With optimized color change sequencing, purge volume is reduced by approximately 10%.
Additionally, new features including Fuzzy Skin painting, Support Interface Ironing, and Wall-Infill Interlocking significantly enhance surface quality and structural strength, while rendering optimizations improve performance and stability for complex and full-build-plate scenarios.
¶ Print Algorithm Improvements
¶ Layer Artifact Optimization – Under-extrusion After Overhangs
After overhang sections, a visible under-extrusion line often appears, which is a common issue in FDM printing. This occurs because overhang regions typically trigger the slicer’s overhang slowdown strategy, followed by a rapid recovery of speed and acceleration. However, there is a delay in the buildup of melt pressure in the hotend relative to the actual extrusion flow, causing a temporary material supply lag at transition areas and resulting in under-extrusion artifacts.
In this update, the existing algorithm has been improved through engine-level optimization of seven key parameters, including:Pressure Advance, Flow smoothing, Deceleration speed, Overhang speed, Melt chamber temperature, Under-extrusion duration, Acceleration.
In print validation tests, under identical slicing parameters, the issue of surface under-extrusion has been improved across K2 Plus, K2 Pro, K1, and i7.
This feature can be enabled under: Process Settings → Speed → Advanced → “Material shortage recovery after overhang(Beta)” It is currently recommended to use the default system parameters.
¶ Optimized Color Change Sequence
The color change sequence for the first few layers in multi-color printing has been intelligently optimized.
Adjacent colors are prioritized for continuous printing, reducing purge complexity and unnecessary flushing operations while maintaining print quality.
In test cases:
- Purge volume reduced by ~10%
- filament consumption significantly decreased
- No negative impact on final print quality
¶ Support Interface Ironing
Introduced Support Interface Ironing, extending the ironing feature to support contact surfaces.
After support printing, the slicer performs a high-speed, low-flow (default 10%) pass to:
- Fill surface gaps
- Flatten irregularities
- Create a smoother temporary printing base
Benefits include:
- Improved bottom surface quality
- Enhanced overhang stability
- Sharper fine details (e.g., text, edges)
¶ Model Processing Enhancements
¶ Fuzzy Skin Painting
Supports freeform painting of fuzzy skin regions for localized texture control.
Users can:
- Apply texture only where needed
- Improve grip or create matte finishes
- Hide layer lines effectively
Expanded capabilities include:
Generation modes: Displacement / Extrusion / Combined
Noise types: Perlin, Billow, etc.
This evolves Fuzzy Skin from a single roughness effect into a controllable surface design system.

Supports freeform drawing of localized adhesion structures (“ear-shaped brim”) at model edges.

MakeNow is now fully integrated into Creality Print.

Introduced Enbedding the wall into the infill to improve structural integrity in models where infill is exposed or heavily contacts outer walls.
The slicer generates periodic interlocking “tooth-like” structures between walls and infill, staggered across layers, significantly improving:
- Interlayer bonding
- Horizontal and Z-axis strength
¶ G-code Preview UI Enhancement
The preview interface now displays filament usage (length/weight) for each path type, enabling better cost estimation and parameter tuning.
