During the feeding stage, the CFS buffer detects an abnormality, causing the filament to fail to feed or retract normally. Possible reasons include:
Disconnected: The buffer's connection cable may be loose, have poor contact, or not be properly inserted.
Buffer jammed: The internal mechanical parts of the buffer are stuck and cannot operate normally.
Buffer hardware failure: The buffer itself has a hardware failure and cannot perform normal feeding and retracting operations.
Check the buffer connection cable: Confirm that the connection cable between the buffer and the printer is firmly inserted, especially the Creality 485 cable, ensuring there is no looseness or poor contact.
Check if the buffer is jammed: Examine whether the mechanical parts of the buffer are entangled or jammed by filament. If there is a filament jam, manually clean the buffer and ensure its internal mechanical structure is unobstructed.
Buffer hardware failure: If the buffer connection is normal and there is no jamming issue, but the problem persists, it may be a buffer hardware failure. Replace the buffer.
Check connection cables: Confirm that all buffer connection cables (especially the Creality 485 cable) are firmly inserted and not loose, and the blue light on the buffer can turn on normally.
Manually clean the buffer: If filament or other foreign objects are stuck in the buffer, manually clean the jammed filament and ensure the buffer components can operate normally.
Replace the buffer: If the buffer hardware is damaged, try replacing the buffer and retest the filament feeding and retracting function.
Restart the device: After eliminating abnormalities, reconnect the buffer and restart the device to confirm if the buffer resumes normal operation.
