During long-term operation of 3D printers, belts may stretch, causing looseness that affects print quality and machine stability; therefore, regular belt tensioning is necessary.
The K2 Plus features active belt tensioning. The XY motor modules each have a pressure sensor and a belt tensioning motor to actively monitor and adjust belt tension.
Ensure there is no filament in the extruder. If there is, click on retract to remove the filament.
Click on Settings - Device Self-Check - Input Shaping.
The machine will perform Active Belt Tensioning - Cutter Calibration - Ringing Compensation.
In addition to automatic tensioning, the machine also has manual tensioning positions. This is mainly to avoid situations where, after long-term use, the automatic tensioning module fails or the belt has loosened beyond the automatic tensioning adjustment range. In such cases, manual tensioning can be used. Turn clockwise to tighten the belt, counterclockwise to loosen it.
Use an L-wrench to tighten the two screws below 2-3 turns clockwise.
Then re-execute Settings - Device Self-Check - Input Shaping.
