The X/Y belts are drive components that enable the hotend to move along set directions. Timely tensioning of the belts is crucial for maintaining print quality. During long-term operation of 3D printers, belts may stretch. If too loose, this can cause the movement range of the hotend to be smaller or larger than the software expects, affecting print quality and machine stability. Therefore, regular belt tensioning is necessary.
1. Remove the Y-axis cover plates on both sides of the printer's upper shell, a total of 10 screws.
2. Remove the X-axis belt upper cover.
3. Loosen the fixing screws that secure the X-axis tensioner.
4. Use a hexagonal wrench to turn the adjustment screw to control the tension of the X-axis belt.
Adjust the Y-axis belt tension in the same way.
5. After adjusting the belt tension, tighten the tensioner fixing screws and replace the top cover.
