Abnormal noise during the movement of the Y-axis.
- 2.1 The motor wire is not properly connected.
- 2.2 Issues with the print parameter settings.
¶ 3. Troubleshooting and solution
- 3.1 Check if the motor wires and transfer board wires of the abnormal noise motor are properly connected.
- 3.2 Check the printing parameters, particularly the idle speed. If the idle speed exceeds 150mm/s, there may be abnormal noise in the Y-axis movement.
- 3.3 Power off, disconnect the motor wires, move the faulty axis by hands, check if there is still abnormal noise,
¶ Please note: Make a correct distinction between stuttering and abnormal noise issues.
- Abnormal Noise: This refers to the unusual sound that persists throughout the printing process. For example, motor abnormal noise, Y-axis linear bearing abnormal noise, Y-axis motion abnormal noise (this issue may occur if the idling speed exceeds 150mm/s), etc.
- Stuttering: The axis moves to a specifica spot and stutters, possibly accompanied by a sound. The easiest way to diagnose this is to unlock the motor and manually move it, where you will feel the stuttering sensation.
