The Raptor, Otter, and Ferret series currently do not support blue laser markerless scanning. Support for Sermoon X1 and Sermoon P1 is under development and will be available soon.
¶ Supported Device & Environment
Currently only supported on Windows with a USB wired connection using the Sermoon S1 scanner. Preparations before use:
- Update the Sermoon S1 device firmware to v1.1.2 or higher
- CrealityScan software version v4.2.0 or higher
- Perform calibration before first use

- Fast fusion is not yet available after scanning (will be added in a future version)

¶ Resolution Recommendations
The current Blue Laser markerless scanning feature is more focused on improving the scanning experience and smoothness. The official recommended resolution settings are as follows:
- Real-time Resolution: ≥ 0.2 mm

If you need smaller resolution, we still recommend using the "with marker" mode along with markers.
¶ Scanning Tips
- Under the markerless scanning mode, it is recommended to move the scanner slowly to avoid losing tracking. If tracking is lost, move the scanner back to an area with clear geometric features; tracking will resume and you can continue scanning.
- Currently, objects with continuous planar features yield the best results; other object types may show some variation.
- For long sessions, use the lanyard to prevent accidental drops.

¶ Frame Rate
- Maximum frame rate in markerless mode: 30 fps; stable frame rate: 23–28 fps
¶ Processing Time
- Fusion: Faster than infrared mode, slightly slower than traditional Blue Laser mode with markers
- Meshing: Similar to Blue Laser mode with markers
- Color Mapping: Similar to infrared mode
- Deleting scan data: Slower than both Blue Laser mode with markers and infrared mode
¶ Resource Usage
- Memory usage: Higher than traditional Blue Laser mode with markers
- CPU usage: Approximately 100%
- Data size: Approximately 20%–30% larger than Blue Laser mode with markers
¶ Scan Quality
- Quality ranking: Blue Laser mode with markers ≈ Blue Laser mode markerless > infrared mode
- Laser knife marks (horizontal stripes/lines) may appear on the scanned model.
- Overexposure may occur in auto exposure mode

¶ Limitations
Poor recognition on low‑texture surfaces. The following materials/surfaces may produce poor results:
- Highly reflective surfaces (e.g., mirrors)
- Black, light‑absorbing materials
- Glazed, slightly reflective materials
- Metals and other special materials
Not suitable for small objects
