The AI Body Completion feature eliminates the need for a full-body scan. Upload a single clear front-facing photo, and AI generates a complete body model, seamlessly integrating it with your high-precision facial scan to create a lifelike 3D digital avatar in one click.
The photos and scan data uploaded by users are processed by cloud-based AI algorithms to generate and return the model. User data will not be stored in the cloud.
This feature will consume credits. Two modes are available: Standard mode (5 coins) and "High‑Definition Geometry" mode (10 coins, offering finer details). Credits can be purchased via the Creality Store. Click the link below for details: https://store.creality.com/products/crealityscan-100-coins
- Select Infrared Mode, set the Scan Object to Face, the Tracking Mode to Geometry, and the Quality to High Quality. During scanning, capture the entire face, including the facial features, cheeks, forehead, and chin. Ensure these areas are clear, free of occlusions, and without obvious holes. The scan result should contain only one complete face model, with no extra isolated point clouds. Scanning the entire body is not required. (See the checklist below for detailed scanning requirements.)
- After completing the face scan, use the Lasso or Rectangle Selection tool to crop the model, keeping only the neck and above. Then use the Connected Components tool to remove any unwanted point clouds or noise outside the face. Once the editing is complete, proceed with Fusion and Meshing.
- Click Mesh Processing → AI Body Completion.
- Take a full‑body or half‑body photo of the subject (front view), ensuring the facial features are clear and the subject is well‑framed. Import the photo into the software, click Generate Now, and wait for the body model to be generated.
- Once the body model has been generated, you can add a model base. Click Preview, and the software will automatically replace the face on the selected model with the scanned face.
- Click Apply to save the completed model.
¶ Notes and Checklist
- Ensure the entire face is clearly visible in the photo. Do not wear glasses, masks, or other face coverings. Keep your hands and other objects away from your face, and avoid letting hair cover your forehead or cheeks, as this may affect the final result.
- Take the photo under good lighting conditions with clear highlights and shadows. Avoid overcast lighting, backlighting, overexposure, or underexposure.
- The person should occupy most of the image. Use a simple background whenever possible, preferably a solid color or one that contrasts well with the subject, to minimize background interference.
- The scanned face should completely cover the forehead, eye area, nose, cheeks, mouth, and chin.
- Keep the head as still as possible during scanning to avoid ghosting, distortion, or missing data caused by movement.
- The face should not be obstructed by hair, hats, glasses, masks, or other objects.
- Maintain a natural, neutral facial expression. Avoid exaggerated expressions that may alter facial geometry.
- The scanned face model should be complete, with clear facial features and no significant blur, missing areas, excessive noise, holes, broken surfaces, stretching, or deformation.
- The scanned model should not contain unrelated objects, such as background objects or hands. Ensure the model contains only a single face and remove any isolated objects if present.
- If you scanned a full-body model, crop it to retain only the neck and above before applying AI-body completion.
A qualified scan should include a complete and clearly captured face. The facial features, cheeks, forehead, and chin should be fully visible and free from occlusion. The model should contain only one complete face, without any extra isolated objects, and should not include the entire body.
- The entire body was scanned, not just the face.
- The face is blurry, incomplete, excessively noisy, or partially occluded by objects such as hair, glasses, or other accessories, making the facial features unclear.
- The scanned model contains unrelated objects (such as background objects or hands). Ensure that only the face model is retained.
- Which Creality 3D scanners support AI Body Completion?
A: AI Body Completion is supported across the full range of Creality scanners. This feature requires logging into a CrealityScan account and is a paid service – each generation consumes the corresponding credits.
- What could cause AI Body Completion to fail?
A: Generation failures are usually caused by one of the following. Please check the scan quality, photo quality, and network connection before retrying.
- Incomplete or occluded face scan data with poor quality;
- The uploaded body photo does not meet the requirements;
- An unstable or disconnected internet connection.
-
Will I be charged credits if AI Body Completion fails?
A: If you manually cancel the generation process, it may result in a failed generation, and the corresponding credits may still be consumed.
-
Can I reuse a generated body model?
A: Yes. AI‑generated body models are saved to the "Select Body Model" list. You can directly select and reuse them later without regenerating.
